CBS offers Survivor for download

The 12th season of the hit reality TV series Survivor, Panama : Exile Island airs tonight on CBS. CBS is also offering Survivor for download via its own website, for the now-standard US$1.99 per episode.
The downloads will be made available at midnight after the episode airs on TV. However, there’s a catch – the downloads will only last 24 hours. Say what? This is a backwards move by CBS. The whole point of downloads is that you can catch up to your favourite TV shows at your convenience – not the TV network’s.
