Looks like the market for films and videos created for the small screen are booming. The San Francsico International Film Festival has a new feature called Pocket Cinema, which showcases an array of short works made by and for mobile devices such as cell phones. Up north, Canada’s Mobile Film Festival has begun with a call for entries. The final awards show will be held on May 17th in Toronto.

ReFrederator is a new podcast featuring daily cartoons. Every day, they feature one public domain cartoon or short animation. Apparently lots of people love cartoons, because ReFrederator shot up to #6 on iTunes after just two days.

The age of the TV as your primary entertainment and education medium is slowly coming to an end. A few months after starting their (successful) sales of TV shows on the iTunes Store, ABC is trying out giving away TV shows for free online.
