ABC to Offer Four Shows Online for Free
The age of the TV as your primary entertainment and education medium is slowly coming to an end. A few months after starting their (successful) sales of TV shows on the iTunes Store, ABC is trying out giving away TV shows for free online.
The difference between this and the current offerings on iTMS is, that one version is streamed free and ad-supported, while the other one is downloadable costs $1.99 per episode.
The four shows slated for this test are Desperate Housewives, Lost, Commander in Chief and Alias. It’s interesting to note that ABC is brave enough to try new things with their most popular programs. Is this the sign of the influence of Steve Jobs, who is now the largest shareholder of ABC’s parent Disney?
