Zune 30 GB Digital Media Player (Black)

Ahead of Apple’s “Special Event” later today, Microsoft has announced a drop in price for the Zune 30 GB Digital Media Player. Originally designed as an “iPod killer”, the Zune has never caught on. Instead, it was roundly criticised for its crippled WiFi and of course, Microsoft was ridiculed for the infamous brown Zune. It ended up selling only 1 million units in over a year, compared to the iPod’s tens of millions each quarter. Apple today is expected to announce new versions of its bestselling portable music player, the iPod and its little brother the iPod nano.
