NBC offering free downloads of TV series
NBC will soon offer their full-length TV shows for download — for free. The service, called NBC Direct, will be ad supported. Users need to use a proprietary downloader/player that will allow them to view TV shows up to one week after being aired.
NBC is really confusing and fragmenting the market. Since they pulled out from Apple iTunes Store, they initially planned to offer TV downloads (for a fee) with Hulu, their joint venture with News Corp.
So where will you get your digital hit of Heroes and 30 Rock?
