Seriously, would you pay anything at all if the option was “pay what you like”? That’s what Radiohead’s grand experiment asked fans to do. As expected, a lot of people (around a third of downloader) paid a big fat zero dollars. Well, all that means is 2/3 paid up, and most paid over $20 for the new album. The average price was $8, which is not bad since most of the proceeds would go directly to the band.

What’s more interesting, is the fact that these statistics came from the first million or so downloads — meaning that more than a million people downloaded the album.
