New music subscription service from Napster
Remember Napster? Napster today is a far different entity compared to what it was six or seven years ago. Gone is the P2P file sharing service. Napster just launched the new Napster 4.0, a feature-rich web-based service that allows subscribers to access and play their music on any internet-connected computer without downloading any software.
Napster users will be able to access a music catalog of 5 million tracks through a new cross-platform application available on PC, Mac and Linux from an Internet Explorer or Firefox web browser. Subscribers will also be able to access any saved tracks, albums or playlists.
