Halo boosts Microsoft’s earnings

We’ve mentioned several times how Halo 3 broke all gaming records and went on to $300 million in sales. It’s been a great money-spinner for Microsoft. You see, while Microsoft’s share has been high all along, it hasn’t grown much over the past few years. Now largely thanks to Halo 3, Microsoft has reported a 23% growth in net profit in the last quarter. The “Halo effect” helped sell 1.8 million units of Xbox 360 in the past 3 months.
