The annual year end holiday season is a time for families, for giving (and for forgiving) and, unfortunately, for spending. We have Christmas celebration to end the year, and a few other festivals in between now and then. Deepavali is coming up in just a couple of days’ time, in fact.

I’m sure you already know what you want to do during the holidays. Maybe you are planning for a short trip. Most probably, you already have a list of gifts to buy for your friends and family. I would like to recommend that for this year at least, please be mindful of your spending.

Answer this question : come January, will you have enough money to pay off your credit cards or regular recurring payments like your mortgage?

Don’t spoil your new year by worrying about whether you have to secure loans in order to pay your debt. Spend wisely, and enjoy the holidays!
