iTunes sells 1 million HD TV shows
Apple has announced that it has sold 1 million HD (high definition) TV shows. It’s only just over a month since Apple first introduced HD shows at the iPod event back in September. The HD programming in Apple iTunes includes popular shows from ABC (Grey’s Anatomy and Lost), CBS (CSI and CSI: Miami), FOX (Prison Break), and NBC Universal (Heroes and The Office).
Microsoft’s Xbox Live service has had HD programming for a couple of years now, but it hasn’t reached any where near the success of the iTunes Store. In total, the iTunes store has sold over 200 million episodes of TV shows already.
