Synopsis
S05E08 City on Fire
Susan’s daughter, Julie comes home to visit with her surprisingly new boyfriend. Gabrielle uncovers an unsettling truth about Mrs. Hildebrand’s past. Katherine has a confession to make to Susan. A reporter looks to expose Bree’s imperfections. Lynette learns that Porter and Anne Schilling are planning to leave Fairview and disappear. Meanwhile, everyone gathers at a club to see the guys play in the annual “Battle of the Bands” when a fire erupts, threatening the lives of those were in attendance. Some will fall as a hero will rise.
Review
Let me just start off by saying that I absolutely loved this episode. All of the story lines in this episode were great, especially Bree and Susan’s story lines. Bree was so funny in this episode, and I loved the moments with Andrew, as well as Bob and Lee that were included in Bree’s story line. Bob and Lee are always hilarious together. I have to say that I’m absolutely loving Susan this season. Her reaction to Julie dating an older man was absolutely priceless. Lynette’s story line was great too. I’m becoming more and more intrigued by Dave and the mystery surrounding him. It appears that we now know who he’s after, and I have to say that I’m very shocked by who it is. All of the stuff with the fire was great. All in all, I thought that this was an extremely well written, well acted and well made episode of Desperate Housewives from everyone involved, and I can’t wait to see the next episode of Desperate Housewives.
