Lost S05E01 Review and Download : Because You Left
After much anticipation, Season 5 of Lost is now back! Woohooo!
Synopsis
Several of the Oceanic Six survivors come to grips with their need to return to the island… on their own terms.
Review
Lived up to the hype which is saying a lot. Lost had one of the more anticipated returns.
More importantly, we get to see what happens to Sawyer, Lock, Daniel and others when the island “moves”. We all know from last season the Jack and other survivors got back home safely but we didn’t get a clue as to what happened to Losties left on the land. All we knew is that Locke is dead or will be dead in the future.
You have to love Locke even in death or life he was always spot on about the island. The island has mysterious powers. Locke warned Jack numerous times that leaving the island would have consequences.
The island “moved” but not in the way you’d expect. It moved in a time loop sort of way. One minute the Losties were in a specific point in time and in the next they were gone.
Locke isn’t dead yet but he is told by Richard that he’ll have to sacrifice himself but how exactly isn’t told here.
We get to see Daniel’s connection to the Dharma stations of the past.
It was like a Quantum Leap meets Twilight Zone meets Lost episode. You see dead characters popping out but unlike dead characters who are ghosts these characters can actually like Ethan fully interact with the Losties.
There are questions like everyone pointed that don’t exactly get answered but you go along with it because it’s Lost (why is Desmond so special in regards to the time loop, he basically woke up from the island like it was a memory)
It was a straight forward episode but still fun.
