S05E18 A Spark. To Pierce The Dark
Bree considers selling her business to save her marriage. Lynette is threatened by her new boss, and boundaries are crossed for Gabrielle and Carlos. Meanwhile, Katherine is caught in the most unexpected of circumstances and Edie’s worst fears come true.
Review
This episode is a series classic in Desperate Housewives history. Karl returns, after having enrolled Evan in the private school where Susan works. It was a cute scene. I cannot stand Lucy though. She is a royal pain in the butt and a snob. I loved the Bree/Orson scene in the therapist’s office though. Plus, I also loved when Gabby, who is HOT now, thought she had sex with Carlos on the table when it was really John, in the Pilot. WOW, Edie didn’t have fax paper! That’s kinda funny in a twisted way. I liked that Gabby and Tom bonded. I loved when Susan threw the paint in Karl’s face! Hehe. I can’t believe that Bree would sell her successful business because Orson is jealous. Andrew is sexy! Rawr. And Orson is so selfish, letting Bree’s office get demolished for a game room! Then he told her she has to sell it, just because she said she would. It’s her company, and she changed her mind. The Dave/Katherine scene was creepy when he said, “Sleep. You have a big day tomorrow.” I loved when Gabby was tied to the bed, but I felt bad when she was afraid that they were turning into the people they were in season 1. I liked that he finally fired Lucy though. And I can’t believe Karl’s wife left him. I never thought that would happen. I like that Susan feels sorry for him and isn’t happy about it. I like that they’re obviously going to be closer now. Edie’s fight with Dave was so intense and the acting was amazing. I can’t believe Edie might actually be gone. I’m still shaking! Amazing episode! Can’t wait to see the conclusion on April 19.
