In the TV show, the book Heat Wave is shown as a thick tome, comparable to latter Harry Potter books. In reality though, it’s a quick read that has about as much content as an episode of Castle. That’s not actually a bad thing.

Do you know what’s the answer to Life, The Universe, and Everything? It’s really been 30 years since the Earth was blown up by the Vorgons. Over the years, The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy by Douglas Adams has grown to become more than a trilogy of books (it’s actually 4 books), it’s also been a radio dramatization, a TV series, and a Hollywood movie.

Next to reality TV, the next most popular (i.e. numerous) type of TV show is the police procedural. How many different versions of CSI, Law & Order or NCIS do we need to see? And do we need to have yet another procedural on TV? Based on its premise, Castle doesn’t add anything except for a mystery writer tagging along with our detectives. What makes it work, is that the awesome Nathan Fillion plays that writer.

One of the runaway hits for the Fox channel this season is Glee. If you’re a fan of Glee, you’re a Gleek. And you may want to pre-order the soundtrack to Glee.
