With the introduction of movie rentals via the iTunes Music Store, you can now buy or rent movies directly on your Apple TV device. Movies cost between $2 and $5 to rent. The more expensive movies are the new releases and movies in HD.

Apple also reduced the price of the Apple TV from $300 to $230.

The printer industry has embraced the “give away the razor, sell the blades concept”. Inkjet and laser printer cartridges can end up to be quite expensive!

Not only that, with new models coming up all the time, it’s quite difficult to find the exact cartridge for your printer. Cartridge Finder can help, since they have a database of over 10,000 printer models. They also allow you to search for the lowest prices for the cartridges.

The current prices of printers and faxes are cheaper than ever before. Unfortunately, the ink for those same printers often cost a bomb. There was a study done a couple of years back, where they found out that on a per-ounce basis, printer ink was more expensive than premium wines.

New printers mean new consumables, which are often incompatible between brands and sometimes even within the same brand. If you own more than one printer, you need to use a printer Cartridge Finder service.

CartridgeFinder.com has an easy to use interface that makes it simple to figure out which cartridges are required for more than 10,000 different models of printer, copier, and fax machines.

The site also checks PriceGrabber.com’s merchant listings to find you the best price on the product you need.

Komen for the Cure foundation.

This is a better deal than the various RED(tm) products, where I believe only around 10% is donated to charity. The Pink Zune sells for $250.

Remember the day when “going paperless” was in vogue? All the large technology companies promised a rosy future where you no longer drowned in paper, thanks to computers. Yet when I look around me, I see more paper than ever.

In my office, we do have an official “paperless” policy, but of course paper is kept as a backup. Once every few months we gather up all our paperwork and send it all for scanning. Then a few weeks later, we would get CDs with images of the documents, with the original documents stored safely elsewhere, most probably in an offsite storage facility.

If you want to have the same system for your home or small business, it’s good to invest in a scanner. You may wish to consider the ScanShell 3000DN duplex document scanner . This scanner is fast (6 pages per minute for black and white documents) and it can scans both sides of the scanned document simultaneously. This will definitely save you some time.

The ScanShell 3000DN is flexible enough to accept input of varying sizes (up to US legal size). For example, it can easily scan business cards, plastic ID cards and forms. Scanned documents are saved in a standard PDF (Portable Document Format) so you can open them on any computer.

Weighing only 1.3 pounds (less than 600 grams), the ScanShell 3000DN sports a USB 2.0 standard interface which also acts as a power supply.
