It’s hard to believe, but it’s been 3 years since we published the first post on NovaScene.  We hope to continue to be your source for new media news, reviews and resource for many years to come!

To all Novascene readers of the Hindu faith all over the world, we would like to wish you a safe and peaceful Diwali. Diwali, or Deepavali, is the Hindu festival of lights. Today is a public holiday in Malaysia and many other countries. Enjoy the break!

Starting September 2008, we’ll be introducing a new feature here at Novascene. We’ll be keeping track of the hottest TV shows of the season. For each new episode of a featured show, we’ll have a brief synopsis, a link to a review, plus links to purchase and download. We’re not sure yet which TV series to show, but expect the usual ones like Terminator : The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Heroes and Chuck as a start.

2008 looks like it’s going to be a very exciting year indeed for new media. Amazon is going from strength to strength as a DRM-free music store. Apple could possibly be launching movie rentals through the iTunes Store. The Writer’s Guild strike continues — what will happen to your favourite TV shows?
