Are you tired of listening to a bunch of guys rambling on their podcasts? I have to admit, most podcasts could do with a healthy dose of the female input. There are very few female-dominated group podcasts around. Now from Podango Productions comes the latest one, Girls Gone Geek.

One of the funniest, and more successful video podcasts is Ask A Ninja. It’s a very simple format : a Ninja asks your questions. New episodes come out on a semi-regular basis. If you can’t get enough of the Ninja, the creators have come up with a DVD compiling the first 40 episodes plus lots of bonus materials.

The third annual Podcast and New Media Expo is on this weekend. Hard to believe that Podcasting has lasted this long. Activities include conference sessions, free exhibit hall presentations, networking functions and an exhibit hall. If you’re a podcaster, or just interesting in new media, and you are near Ontario, California, do drop by this weekend.

Just a little over 2 years after it was first introduced, Yahoo! is closing down its Yahoo Podcast service. D-Day is Halloween 2007, 31st October. Successful podcast aggregators (and podcast companies) are not facing the runaway success that they expected. PodShow is doing OK, but PodTech is not. Other podcast networks like TWiT and Revision3 depend on a hardcore loyal following, rather than exploring new markets and new customers.
