One of the best movies that I’ve watched this year is The Boat That Rocked (renamed in the US as Pirate Radio). The movie is about the pirate radio revolution in 1960’s UK. I find it funny that the modern radio / music industry, with its heavy handed treatment of copyright and piracy, was itself founded on piracy.

If you’ve only seen the current iteration of the Doctor Who series, you’re not missing much. Just kidding. Whole generations have grown up on Doctor Who, and it’s amazing to think that there has been hundreds of hours of this TV series.

In the TV show, the book Heat Wave is shown as a thick tome, comparable to latter Harry Potter books. In reality though, it’s a quick read that has about as much content as an episode of Castle. That’s not actually a bad thing.

Do you know what’s the answer to Life, The Universe, and Everything? It’s really been 30 years since the Earth was blown up by the Vorgons. Over the years, The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy by Douglas Adams has grown to become more than a trilogy of books (it’s actually 4 books), it’s also been a radio dramatization, a TV series, and a Hollywood movie.
