Here’s the season finale for Desperate Housewives, Season 5.

Synopsis
S05E24 If It’s Only In Your Head
Lynette adapts to Tom’s decision to go back to school, Orson takes a beating that Bree cannot comprehend, Gabrielle’s niece (guest star Maiara Walsh) moves to Wisteria Lane, and Susan and MJ’s lives are in grave danger at the hands of Dave.

Lynette fears cancer is back, but she learns she is pregnant of twins.Orson is assaulted and moves back with Bree, while she has a moment with Carl. Mike and Katherine are preparing to leave to Las Vegas to get married, until Mike discovers Dave wants Susan and MJ’s death and runs to their rescue. Gabby deals with Carlos’ teenaged niece, who moves in with them and shows a bad example to the kids. Susan struggles for her life, and tries to talk some sense into Dave. Dave’s malicious plan to let Susan watch MJ get killed by his father in a car accident. Two months later, Mike marries a woman whose identity is not yet revealed…

Synopsis
S05E23 Everybody Says Don’t
Gabrielle and Carlos attend a family meeting in which they are asked to take care of their niece, Lynette is upset with Tom for his latest “bright idea,” Orson threatens to blackmail Bree, and Susan accepts Dave’s “friendly” gesture.

Review
Orson gives Bree an ultimatum as Gabby and Carlos consider taking in Carlos’ teenage niece Ana. Tom decides to go back to college, and Susan suspects that Mike reported Jackson to immigration. Katherine tells Susan about her engagement to Mike. Dave’s revenge nears closer.

OK, I didn’t like that they reused an episode title from season two. That was just careless. The episode was good though. I love that Tom wanted to major in Chinese and there was some Chinese sound in the background. I loved Susan’s comment about watching Bruce Lee movies without subtitles. I loved Gabby’s reaction when Carlos’ aunt asked if anyone can take Ana in. I was so surprised yet happy to see Edie in this episode. I loved this episode. Very enjoyable.

Synopsis
S05E22 Marry Me A Little
Bree goes to extremes to hide her true intentions from Orson, while Susan and Jackson (guest star Gale Harold) put on an act for the authorities. Lynette is shocked at the lengths Tom will go to in order to look younger, and Katherine masks the truth from Mike, afraid to lose him. Meanwhile, Dave is on edge when he learns a key witness to his misdeeds surfaces.

Review
Susan and Mike plan an engagement party. Tom tries to look younger. Bree attempts to hide her true intentions from Orson. Gabby runs into an old friend who has lost everything since the last time they saw each other.

I liked this episode. I loved Katherine’s reaction to Susan’s engagement. I’m not crazy about the Lynette and Tom scene in the beginning, and it was weird to see them try to talk about Twitter. Gabby is amazing, though. I love her. Bree’s scenes were good, and I liked the opening scene. It was very different. Aw, Mike still likes Susan! Wow. Not a bad episode. It was enjoyable, even in the first 19 minutes. Can’t wait for the season finale!

Synopsis
S05E21 Bargaining
Bree sinks to a new low to retain the best lawyer, and Gabrielle’s vanity is put to the test when she makes a deal with her daughter Juanita. Meanwhile, Lynette and Tom negotiate sex, and Katherine deceives Mike to win his heart. Jackson (guest star Gale Harold) walks back into Susan’s life with a proposal, and an unexpected visit sends Dave to do some bargaining of his own.

Review
This episode, Bargaining, was so funny. Lynette abd her whole “I’ve seen more ceiling than Michelangelo” was so funny. Tom and Lynette both were pretty comical. Gaby and her “I need make-up, can I borrow yours” scheme was original and very Gaby. Susan and her tiny breakdown in confessing her love to Jackson after he proposed and then him telling her it was only so he wouldn’t be deported back across the border was funny as well. Katherine and MJ working together is something I thought I would never see, but then again, kids will do a lot for some ice cream! Bree bribing an eight year old was priceless. And when Gaby mentioned that Juanita was six, to me the numbers didn’t seem to add up.

Synopsis
S05E20 Rose’s Turn
Carlos finds Lynette in a precarious position, which she chooses to hide from Tom, and Gabrielle hastily covers for Tom’s coy behavior. Orson tries to hide the truth about his wounds from Bree, while Katherine confesses to Mike, which leads to a surprising realization. In the meantime, Susan confides her dark secret in Dave.

Review
The best I can say is that this episode made me smile. I enjoyed getting snippets of the traditional quirkiness that my ladies are known for. Lynette’s one-liners about the shower incidents, Susan’s hilarious “cleaning up Dave’s house” scene, and a surprisingly enjoyable spin on what Gaby would be like in a gardening club. All fun stuff. Intermingling Gaby/Carlos and Lynette/Tom made for one really great dinner scene, the highlight of the night. I still don’t care much for Bree’s stuff with Orson, who at this point is so lost for a storyline, I wouldn’t mind the divorce. A shame since I thought he and Bree were such a perfect match early on. Katherine was given more lines this week (now that the cast has been freed up), but she still hasn’t been given anything to do. A light hint at desperation for Mike seemed a bit out of character for the once strong and mysterious woman. Doesn’t suit her.

While Dave moped over the loss of Edie (is he sincere, because he did try to kill her himself, or is he just putting on a show- one can never tell with this guy), he made a juicy discovery that it was in fact, Susan who was driving the car the night his family was killed. Now Dave has all new motives in plan, and they may involve Susan and Mike’s kid, MJ. Strong ending. Though I will understand if some feel like they’ve been bouncing Dave’s intended targets around like a shooting gallery at the fair. (McClusky, Mike, Susan, Katherine, Susan again, now maybe MJ- jeez)
