This week, Scully and Mulder … oops, wrong FBI mystery show. In this episode, the team is called in to investigate a bank robbery when one of the thieves is found embedded in a solid wall. Walter Bishop believes they’re after something of his, but things take a turn for the worse when the thieves ambush one of them.

Review :
I must agree, this show does need a little bit more tooling. I’m very glad with the way the show has come along. Very much the new X-Files of the new millenium. It has filled a new way we look at science fiction and how strange alot of this seems to be that we are almost that close to the truth, more so then we ever have. I can only see this show getting better and coming along with a whole new strain of stories with this new science fiction being so out there that i can see why they call this show Fringe.

The Dreamscape is co-written by Zack Whedon. Any relation to Joss Whedon, I wonder? In this episode, a Massive Dynamic employee leaps to his death after hallucinating a butterfly attack. Agent Scott proves useful in investigating the case, but a frustrated Olivia wants to remove him from her consciousness once and for all. Meanwhile, Peter Bishop deals with some enemies from his past.

Synopsis :

Season 1, Episode 8 : The Equation

The new show from Alias creator JJ Abrams is back. In this episode, Walter Bishop’s former bunkmate at the mental institute is linked to the abduction of a young musical prodigy by a serial kidnapper. Peter is concerned when Walter insists on going back to the mental institute to solve the case.

Review :

I think one of the things that I love about this episode is that it was a great balance between case and personal. We have an Ben who is suddenly able to play and compose music. But the musical composition is an obsession of both little Ben and a patient at St. Claire’s. Walter is willing to see what his friend knows by returning to St. Claire’s. It turns out that the obsession isn’t a pattern, it’s an ability. The wonderful part of this episode is the interaction between Peter and Walter.

Synopsis :

Season 1, Episode 7 : In Which We Meet Mr. Jones

What do you think, does JJ Abram have another hit in his hands? Or will it go downhill from now on? In this episode, a seemingly-alien parasite attaches itself internally to an FBI agent. Olivia goes to Germany to meet with a man who knows about the parasite, where Walter conducts experiments to tap into a dead man’s brainwave, which puts Peter at risk when he is the one who has to hook up to the corpse.

Review :

Well this episode is going down as the best one so far, in the series, in my opinion. So far, in the show, there hasn’t been as much of an intensity or excitement that should be there. This episode changes that. There was a genuine intensity that really had me on the edge of my seat. The direction of this episode was just superb. It had great timing on everything, with perfect placement of the humor. The great editing also played a big part in making this episode much more thrilling than the others.
