Synopsis :

Grey’s Anatomy. Season 5, Episode 12: Sympathy for The Devil

In this episode, Derek’s mother, Carolyn, makes a surprise visit and meets Dr Meredith Grey for the first time. Meanwhile, Mark tries to hide his relationship with Lexie Grey; William, the death row inmate, asks to donate his organs to Bailey’s patient; and Owen and Dr Cristina Yang go on their first date.

Review :
doctor isn’t really that different than a serial killer. They both get to choose who dies. A doctor is likely driven by science while a serial killer gets his marching orders from a little voice in his head, but they’re both making choices; doing what they think is the right move. Eric Stoltz (”McDreamy”) has thus far been a shining point this season.

After a Christmas/New Year break, your favourite doctors and interns are back.

In this episode, Dr Bailey pairs up with Dr. Arizona Robbins, Seattle Grace’s new pediatric surgeon, to help save the life of a young patient. Derek is furious when a death row inmate is checked in to the hospital; Cristina and Meredith’s friendship continues to erode; Callie and Sloan work through their attractions to Sadie and Lexie; and Izzie confesses to Alex that she has been seeing Denny (i.e., the ghost of her ex-fiancee).

Review :
I thought Grey’s Anatomy had gone far enough with the Izzie/Denny mess – until this episode. Why you ask? Because they introduced a doctor who gets around on Heelys!! Do you have any idea how much I hate Heelys? Nine-year-olds come whipping by on those damn things when you’re walking around the mall, and as much as you hate to wish bad things upon a 9-year-old, I’m just waiting for the headline “Local Sixth Grader Wearing Heelys Cracks Skull Open in Front of Orange Julius.” Oh and that doctor (Dr. Arizona Robbins) that got introduced tonight? She’s a pediatric surgeon.

It’s a Celine Dion song this week, kill me already.

In this episode, Dr. Cristina Yang is awarded the first solo surgery among the residents, but she has to relinquish it and choose her replacement; Mark performs a cutting-edge procedure to restore a patient’s speech, impressing Lexie Grey in the process; and maybe-bisexual Callie can’t figure out if Sadie is flirting with her or just being friendly.

Review :
(S05E10) Before I even start this review, I’ve got to vent about the absurd amount of commercials during this episode of Grey’s Anatomy. Is it always this bad and I just haven’t noticed? Are there always ads every two minutes or so? I found it extremely distracting to be constantly interrupted, especially when there were so many storylines going on tonight.

Grey’s Anatomy. Season 5, Episode 9: In The Midnight Hour

In The Midnight Hour is one of my favourite songs, let’s hope this episode does it justice.

This week Meredith Grey, Cristina Yang and Bailey come to Lexie Grey and Sadie’s rescue when a routine surgery goes horribly wrong. Meanwhile, Owen and Derek treat a man seriously injured while sleepwalking and Mark comforts the sleepwalker’s distraught daughter.

(S05E09) “Who’s making a porno movie in Izzie’s room?” – Derek

I am an unashamed Grey’s Anatomy fan. I’ve watched it since the very beginning. At this point, it’d be hard for me stop because I feel like I’ve invested too much time to just say the hell with it smack in the middle of the show’s fifth season. A season which I went from loving, to hating, to loving, and now to absolutely despising. So for those of you who seem to think that I shouldn’t be writing weekly reviews of this show because “I don’t seem to like it very much, well, I assure you that’s just not the case. I complain because I love. Based on that, I really loved this episode.

We’re back for another week of drama with your favourite medical residents and interns at Seattle Grace.

This episode, Meredith’s old friend Sadie (Melissa George) becomes an intern at Seattle Grace, but Meredith’s other friends aren’t exactly welcoming. A new surgeon Virginia Dixon (Mary McDonnell) brings rules and order to the OR. Meanwhile, Meredith’s sister Lexie leads the interns in secretive, unorthodox surgical-training sessions.

Review :

Seriously, aren’t we done with Denny already?

I hope I’m not the only one with this opinion… but seriously, the Denny storyline is getting ridiculous. I wasn’t a big fan when he was alive, and I’m less off a fan now that he’s “haunting” Izzy. What is this, Ghost Whisperer? And then she makes out/ has sex with Denny the ghost? Unless they have a very good explanation next episode, this is jump the shark bad story writing. However they explain it, I’d rather Denny leave the show for good.
