Walmart launched their own online music store a while ago, although it was nowhere near the success of the top 2. Well, now Walmart is striking back with what it does best : deliver low prices.

Walmart is now selling selected Top 25 songs at just US$0.74. This is 25% cheaper than iTunes, and 20 cents cheaper than Walmart’s standard price of $0.94. No doubt Walmart has the brand name to sell — but the question remains whether online music buyers will choose price over convenience and familiarity.
