Synopsis :

Season 2, Episode 11 :Chuck Versus Santa Claus

It’s a Christmas episode this week, at the Buy More. On Christmas Eve, a burgler puts a damper on everyone’s plans. Chuck, Ellie, Captain Awesome and the Buy More employees are taken hostage. Super agents Casey and Sarah must go to any lengths possible to protect Chuck.

With a reference to Back To The Future in this week’s episode title, you know we’re in for a good one. This episode Chuck decides to spy on Sarah and her date and as he does so, Chuck has an intersect flash about him (so what’s new). Meanwhile, Anna asks Morgan to move in with her.

Review :
In Chuck vs. the Cougars, it was revealed before she became a spy, Sarah was the daughter of a con man, moving from place to place while her father stole money. When her father was finally arrested, Sarah was offered a role in the FBI and she put her past behind her. Now, her old wounds resurface when her father comes back into town. Chuck is more than interested with her father since he always looks to uncover anything about Sarah’s past. For Sarah, she’s just looking to catch up. She’s no longer as angry as she used to be about her father, she just wants to see him again. However, her dad is up to his usual tricks and conned a powerful Middle Eastern man named the Sheik and it’s up to Chuck, Casey, and Sarah to clean up the mess.

Synopsis :

Season 2, Episode 7 :Chuck Versus The Sensei

This week, Chuck is put on a mission in hopes of getting him to forget about his (evil) ex-girlfriend Jill. Meanwhile, NSA agent Casey learns his sensei mentor is one of the most wanted agents, leading him to be removed from the case. Elsewhere, as their wedding day nears, Ellie and fiance Captain Awesome receive a big surprise.

Review :
I pretty much had this episode mapped out from the get go. However, it did have its funny moments. Like the employee of the month contest at the Buy More. Another funny moment was watching Chuck intentionally pissing Casey off in order for him to defeat his Sensei then Casey, casual thank you and Chuck astonishment. I did however feel for Elle dealing with her future inlaws.

Synopsis :

Season 2, Episode 8 :Chuck Versus The Gravitron

It’s Thanksgiving over at Chuck this week. In this episode, Chuck, Sarah and Casey are surprised to learn that Jill (Chuck’s ex, and on-again girlfriend), is a FULCRUM agent searching for the Intersect. Because of this, Chuck is asked to use his relationship to get to an agent named “Leader.” Meanwhile, Captain Awesome’s parents are coming for Thanksgiving and Chuck’s sister Ellie is determined to make the perfect dinner for them.

Review :
I absolutely love the direction the show is going in. Little by little they are moving Chuck closer to who he is capable of becoming. I think that, eventually, (if the show lasts that long) Chuck will become an actual agent. In the Chuck graphic novels they show Chuck’s future where he is an agent, and I love it. Zachary Levi, I have praised your performance in past episodes, and, in my opinion, this is your best performance yet.

I wonder if we will soon see a showdown between Chuck’s recently reacquired girlfriend Jill and CIA agent Sarah? This week, the team has to face a hostage situation at the Museum of Natural History. Watch this to the end .. there’s a surprise waiting.

Review :
Well, I can honestly say I didn’t see the twist coming at the end. I saw it coming about a minute before the reveal when they were scanning through all the Fulcrum agents. I knew that they had be bringing Chuck’s ex-girlfriend back for something big, and big, it certainly is. While this was a superb episode, with several great sequences, I do have some issues with it.
